
Conceived by Dan Harmon, Community is telecasted on NBC. Community has been presented straight from the bags of Joe and Anthony Russo, the Emmy award winning directors. This TV show commenced on September 17, 2009 and is based on a group of students belonging to a community college in the fictional locality of Greendale in Colorado.
This show is much influenced from Stripes. The college students comprises of misfits in the society, who are attending the Greendale Community College. One of the students is Jeff Winger, played by Joel McHale, who is a lawyer and starts attending the college after forming a study group. Jeff and the other college students expose more about themselves as the time passes and, become aware of each other in a better way.
The student organization at the Greendale Community comprises of newly divorced housewives, high school losers and old people. Their main aim is to maintain an active mind. Jeff Winger is the center of the Greendale Community and he tries to modify things accordingly. So, they join the college for this purpose. Winger leads his group towards a learning experience which is beyond comparison.
The second season of Community premiered on September 23, 2010. The show continues with the study group’s efforts to intermingle with each other and enjoy life. Among the various characters, Chevy Chase plays the role of Pierce while Gillian Jacobs plays Britta. Chase is a good natured yet bizarre retired entrepreneur, who has enrolled in the college simply to overcome his isolation. Britta, on the other hand is a glamorous and scholarly blonde, who has inspired Jeff to create the study group. Britta is a look-alike of Elisabeth Shue, a well known actress of the 80s and 90s.
The other members of the fake study group also possess unique traits, which bring them together as they get involved in each other’s joys and sorrows.
