Friday Night Lights, an American serial drama, made its debut on October 3, 2006 on the NBC Network. It’s based on the novel and movie of the same name. Set in the small town of Dillon, Texas, Friday Night Lights revolves around Dillon Panthers, the High School Football Team. People of this economically dying town are crazy for football and each Friday night gives them something to live for. Eric Taylor, the coach of Dillon High, leads the team to help them win the State Championship. Friday Night Lights shows how hard it is to succeed when circumstances go against you. When Jason Street, the star quarterback gets injured in the first game of the season, the coach and the rest of the team are shattered but eventually they make up their minds to win the championship even without their star player. The series gives a closer view of a coach’s responsibilities as he tries his best to make the boys champions as well as good human beings. Friday Night Lights has recently finished airing the third season.
