Filmed in the picturesque locales of Nova Scotia, Haven is a supernatural drama that stars Emily Rose and Eric Balfour. The series is a brainchild of Stephen King, and revolves around the life of confident and cunning FBI agent, Audrey Parker, the character well played by Eric Balfour.

The series kicked-off on July 9, 2010 and is all about Audrey, who has no memories of her past and feels a strong connection with things of paranormal relevance. When she arrives in Haven, while working on one of her cases, she gets the vibes of some strange happenings. She finds herself being trapped in a plague called ‘The Troubles’.

It’s not for the first time that the plague has taken over that small, suburban town as even in the past, it meddled with the lives of its residents. As it occurs again this time, it brings with itself, some supernatural afflictions that give birth to a myriad of thrill-packed moments.

As Audrey tries to unravel the mystery behind this plague, her life becomes even more complicated, as she gets to meet someone, who claims to be her mother. While trying to comprehend the reasons behind all these occurrences, Audrey gets to indulge in certain unexpected situations. A police officer Nathan Wuornos helps Audrey in reaching the roots of all the intricacies that underlie ‘The Troubles’. Lucas Bryant in the role of that cop, has done complete justice to his character.

As episodes of season 1 get aired, Audrey and Nathan solve various complicated cases, which involve a case of fast aging, serial killings which aren’t done by humans but by animals, murders which involve art, dark man, shape-shifters and things like that.

In the finale episode of season 1, as an enigmatic culprit is brought back to Haven, Audrey is made to confront a stunning reality. Along with her, Nathan and others are also taken aback by some shocking disclosures. Thus, season 1 engulfs all the elements that combine to give birth to a thrilling supernatural drama!
