Life on Mars, an American Science Fiction crime drama series, was premiered on October 9, 2008 on the ABC Network. The series was set in New York City and the central character of the show was Sam Tyler, a police detective. Life on Mars followed him as he got hit by a car and woke up in 1973. As of then, Sam had to work as a detective but without the 21st century technology. It showed how Sam dealt with the complications which come to his way on daily basis while working as a detective. Life on Mars came to an end after the first season only and had been canceled by the network.
