Lux’s life is unexpected in Life Unexpected TV show. It started with her mother leaving her to be raised in foster care, only that she expected her to be adopted by someone. It didn’t happen and years later, when Lux was finally a grown-up girl and wanted her parents’ signatures to become an emancipated minor, she experienced trouble. Both her parents had developed a liking for her!
Season one brought 13 episodes and all of them with a fervency that continued till the end of season two. In the initial episodes, Lux, was expecting a signature from her parents and the Judge to declare that she is an emancipated minor now. But, very unexpectedly, she was adjudged to temporarily live in the custody of her 30-year-old father, Baze, who didn’t even know until now that he had a daughter. Apparently, he spent most of his time engaging in one-night stands. On the other hand, Lux’s mother Cate Cassidy contributed to a local radio, along with her boyfriend Ryan Thomas.
Brittany Robertson played the scintillating character of Lux, and was partnered with Rafi Gavron, who played her boyfriend Bug. Kristoffer Polaha also garnered fame, portraying the role of the young father, Baze, whose character was more of a slacker throughout the show. Shiri Appleby, playing Cate Cassidy, also became a star post Life Unexpected.
The season one ended with Baze heart-broken over Cate and Ryan’s wedding, and the fact that he couldn’t tell Cate about the love that he had for her. Season two started with Cate and Ryan coming back to their home. Baze became extra cautious for his daughter when her school grades deteriorate.
Several attempts to start a new life didn’t see Baze reach anywhere and left him sad and smitten, most of the time. When Cate found out about Ryan’s ex-girlfriend Julia, things started to fall apart between them. It did bring Baze and Cate closer though. The season finally ended with Cate, Baze and Luz reuniting, with Lux admitting them as her parents.
