Make It or Break It is a teen drama that follows the lives and hopes of a few youngsters, who dream of making it big at the Olympics. The show is created by Holly Sorensen and moves around four gymnasts, who are training at ‘The Rock’, one of the country’s best gyms.
Season one sees the trio of Payson , Lauren and Kaylie at The Rock getting surprised to see the arrival of Emily Kmetko, who instantly takes over Lauren’s third place ranking. Lauren gets nervous and finds herself striving even harder to regain her position.
Things further fall apart when Kaylie is adjudged to be at the top, while Payson breaks her spine after a fall, and is rendered with no ability to ever be able to do gymnastics again. The incarcerated feeling leaves Payson hopeless of ever getting back to the world of gymnastics.
With the start of season two, Payson gets hope finally to get her fractured spine fixed through a surgery. The surgery is successfully done, which brings back to her, a hope to win the top position. It gets, however, confirmed in a short while, that she can never be the gymnast that she used to be.
Her trainer Sasha Beloff is always at her side and suggests that she instead of trying to become a tougher gymnast, should attempt towards becoming an artistic gymnast. She takes it up and starts training hard once again. Her friends continue to be competitive and some love affairs continue to heat the matters up.
Lauren coils with Carter and Sasha tucks a relationship up with Summer. It is an interesting fact that Sasha (played by Neil Jackson) was a boxer in real life, and also worked as a personal trainer. Make It or Break It is a perfect show that helps you learn perseverance and true grit.
The trio of gymnasts formed by Payson, Lauren and Kaylie, has been efficiently portrayed by young actors, Ayla Kell, Cassie Scerbo and Josie Loren. Chelsea Hobbs fits in perfectly as a new danger to the three, in the form of Emily Kmetko!
