Created by Howard Overman, Misfits follows the life journey of some individuals gone astray, whose lives turn topsy-turvy, after a strange event. It stars well-established actors like Iwan Rheon (plays Simon Bellamy), Robert Sheehan (Nathan Young), Lauren Socha (Kelly Bailey), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Curtis Donovan) and Antonia Thomas (Alisha Bailey).
The well chalked-out storyline makes the show particularly interesting. Nathan, Simon, Kelly, Alisha and Curtis were feeling low, as they were about to be involved in a lackluster community service. However, excitement creeps in after a freak thunderstorm changes everything. This event is followed by them becoming recipients of extraordinary powers. Soon, they are struck by the realization that now they have a lot more to deal with, in addition to just picking up litter.
Henceforth, they need to take every step with caution, as they are not the only ones, who have become extraordinary. What transpires next is nothing less than a storm of excitement. Several eye-popping secrets get revealed and hidden feelings come to the surface.
This mystery-packed show has two seasons under its belt. The show has been shot in picturesque locations in South East London.
In the first season, the Misfits face an immediate danger to their lives from their probation officer. They are forced to put a stop to his life. The first series focuses on them making every possible attempt to prevent anyone from finding clues about this murder.
In the second series, as the full term of their community service is about to end, they come into contact with a mysterious masked man, who helps them in averting many dangers. He is apparently well-aware of the happenings, much before they actually materialize.
All in all, Misfits is a truly gripping TV show. |
