Created by Denis Leary and Peter Tolan, Rescue Me, an American television drama series, made its debut on July 21, 2004 on the FX Network. The central character of the series is Tommy Gavin, a veteran fireman. The series follows him and the estranged members of his family as they deal with the everyday troubles such as 9/11 consequences. Among the other important characters of the series are Sean Leslie Garrity, Mike Silletti, Franco Rivera, Lieutenant Kenneth Shea, Deputy Chief Sidney Feinberg and Deputy Chief Ron Perolli etc. The series is currently running with the fifth successful season. ‘Rescue Me’ follows Tommy as he does his best to cope with the tragedies which always seem to be around the corner.
