
‘Sherlock’ is an effort of the British Television to present the age-old detective tales of Sherlock Holmes in a contemporary avatar. This entertainment-rich brainchild of Steven Moffat and Mart Gatiss kicked off its telecast journey on 25 July 2012, amassing a whopping viewer count of 9.3 million.
It has the dashing Benedict Cumberbatch playing the eponymous detective. Moreover, Doctor Watson’s intricate character has been enlivened by the talented Martin Freeman.
