The Bad Girls Club is reality show, which gives ‘bad girls’ a chance of redemption. The show is devised by Jonathan Murray and debuted on the small screen on December 5, 2006. With six seasons in its kitty, the show has been deemed to be one of the most popular reality shows of all time, clinching an IVillage nomination for the ‘Favorite Reality Show Guilty Pleasure’.

The show follows a unique format where seven girls, with a wild past, are housed together in a sprawling bungalow, and are required to live together a normal life. The girls are obliged to abide by the protocol, according to which they must not indulge in any sort of physical violence amongst themselves, or with any of the show’s producers.

The inmates have to survive till the end of the show and escape elimination. Interestingly, it is rare for all the seven girls to survive the three months of confinement. As soon as a girl opts out of the house, or is eliminated, she’s replaced by another ‘bad girl’, who bears the brunt of discrimination by the inmates.

The format of the show has been revamped in several seasons, with some seasons offering jobs to the girls and analyzing their performance on the parameters of regularity and diligence. The show has faced various controversies over its six-season run, the most recent one being the ER incident in season 6, where Kori Koether slashed the arm of her roommate, Nicole Galladay, with her handbag, causing her to be immediately rushed to the ER.

In a similar incident in season 4, Amber McWha and Florina Kaja got into a catfight in a discussion over homosexuality, when Amber pushed Flo into the pool. Flo retaliated by thrashing Amber on concrete!

The Bad Girls Club’s house is one house where the journey from being a witch to an angel is accomplished in three months of love, hate and vengeance!
