
After the success of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series a comeback of the show was much needed for the magic and adventure spell that it casted. So returning to the television is a spin off series called Legend of Korra an American animated television series. This time becoming the face of the Avatar the incarnation of Aang, the protagonist of the original series is Korra a teenager girl from the Water Tribe of South.
The story is set after almost seventy years of the great battle, which witnessed the shoot down of Phoenix Ozai and Princess Azula. The Legend of Korra series will bring the adventures of a young girl who is impassioned, spunky, free spirited and courageous. She is an absolute go-getter and a fighter in her own right. She is a master in the art of waterbending, earthbending and firebending and she has undertaken a mission to master the art of airbending. She has decided to learn the art from Tenzin, who is the youngest son of the Avatar wife Katara.
The series is set in a metro city called Republic City, which is a glorious result of the hundred year’s war that was fought, by Aang and Lord Zuko. The city has been developed into a technologically advanced one, which is together and peacefully populated by benders and non-benders from around the world. Some of the exciting features and talents of the city population is that the police unit is led by brave daughter of Toph Beifong and they practice an innovative art of earthbending called metalbending.
The sport that is played popularly by the residents of the city is pro-bending which needs one team of benders to knock down the other team, extricating them from the arena using their adept art. While the city thrives as spunky habitat inspired from the modern city’s Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manhattan and Vancouver. In the city so developed and peaceful, there is a gang of anti-benders who have plagued the harmony of the city and Korra must fight them. This rival gang led by Amon has a unique skill of chi blocking and threatening the lives of benders. |
