Over the years, we have known that as a judge Simon Cowell is one of the toughest nuts to crack for contestants on his reality shows.

Facing Cowell as a judge for the auditions has been a nightmare for a lot of contestants, who might have only benefited from the rage within that is sparked the moment Simon starts punishing verbally.
No matter how much the contestants value insults thwarted at them by Simon, the reality show boss finds it really difficult to fake his dislike for a contestant even to the media.
That’s not a statement out of the blue for I shall illustrate with a recent example. Will Young, popular as the ‘Hopes and Fears’ singer is the winner of the first series of Pop Idol, a forerunner show to the X-Factor.
Though Young informed the media that he was only benefitted from his on-screen scuffle with Simon Cowell during the auditions, Cowell was unable to weave words of praise for this victorious victim of his.
As reports confirm, Young believes that the fight that erupted in between him and Cowell, actually highlighted his determination to be himself and do whatever he wanted to. The scuffle reflected on Young’s soul that stood its ground, in spite of Cowell raining harsh words on him for being so confident of his abilities. In short, after all that happened Young is now more successful and feels the incident largely contributed towards strengthening his career altogether.
In spite of all this, Simon sincerely expressed his dislike for Young, who according to him was obnoxious at the 2001 auditions for the show.
Cowell maintained his stand by informing that he felt sick and was hugely disappointed at whatever happened at the show’s 2002 final.
So that’s Simon Cowell for you – someone, who can fake nothing.
